"Taste My Cake" is a bespoke mobile inventory and ordering ecosystem developed as a high-efficiency internal tool. The project's core mission was to digitize the gourmet cake ordering process, moving from manual tracking to a real-time, high-fidelity mobile interface. We transformed a complex product catalog into a streamlined, localized mobile application that bridges the gap between artisanal production and rapid corporate delivery cycles.
The Business Challenge
01 Real-Time Inventory Synchronization: With perishable goods, the risk of "over-selling" is high; the app requires a backend that updates stock levels instantly to prevent order friction.
02 Internal Utility vs. Consumer Aesthetics: While the app is for internal use, it still requires a high-quality "Consumer-Grade" UI to ensure that staff can identify products quickly through visual cues.
03 Network Reliability: As a tool used in fast-paced environments, the app needed to handle data synchronization across Java and Firebase while maintaining an offline-capable SQLite database for edge-case connectivity.
